We Stand with Freedom of Speech
On an intelligence level- doesn’t the Paris attack look like a false flag operation to get europe involved in the fight against the CISIS in Iraq?
These guys looked pretty pro for regular terrorists, even the escape was clean.
I don’t think it’s a false flag. The “professional” terrorist is nothing new. It’s just that many of them are bumbling idiots, but not all.
There are some very high speed, professional terrorists. Lebanese Hezbollah, Khetaib Hezbollah, and Leshkar e-Tayyiba are just three of several.
That’s true. The paradigm of the bumbling social misfit idiot isn’t always the case.

Freedom of speech, like any concept, needs to be used within the context of moderation and common sense, both of which seem to be in short supply these days. Not the letter of the law, but the spirit of the law. Our problem seems to be an era of extremes. Either progressives want to take the concept to a ridiculous extreme (burning the American flag), or regressives want to severely limit it (and still burn the American flag, hmmm).
Without a moral compass to guide your thoughts and actions, you get a lot of folks with near-zero impulse control, which other folks then use as an excuse to impose their beliefs on the rest of us. Be it secular or religious. I believe there is such a thing as right and wrong. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist (or Christian scientist) to figure it out. There is good and evil. We are creatures of free will. It’s our choice to make, every day. The fact that the vast majority of people seem incapable of doing so, and are being led around by the nose by false prophets, be it Muhammed, or Marx is a sad state of affairs. Just human nature again? Quite possibly. Too lazy to think for themselves. Easier to follow the prophet.
Real freedom of speech starts with freedom of thought, not framed by political (or religious) agendas. What passes for freedom of speech today is mostly political theater. Doing something just to get a rise out of your target audience, and then claiming it as your right, does not make it so. Whether you burn my flag, or depict some prophet, you are making an inflammatory statement designed to cause a reaction. You are also free to poke a diamondback with a stick, but is it REALLY a good idea to do so?
I think anything, taken to a ridiculous extreme, can and usually does cause problems. On the one hand, the progressives take freedom and equality to ridiculous extremes. On the other, regressives want
to restrict these things as much as possible. Both extremes result in the same thing: tyranny.
The worst kind of censorship is self censoring. Not the censorship of common sense – like yelling fire in a crowded theater – but just saying that the king wears no cloths.
Progressives cry to high heaven multiculturalism, to the point of genecide. So when the cartoonists get shot they have to explain that it’s not Islam and we all need to get allong. Then somehow it turns around to we need to attack Syria and IS. Are oil prices not low now from IS selling oil for nothing? Ultimately, that is why I think it’s a false flag. Western governments don’t care about freedom of speech or freedom of the press, look at Wikileaks and Snowden. Where is Obama arresting government officials for corruption, torture and murder?
I don’t know if it’s as much as “false flag” op, as it is progressives, acting like spoiled children. They are used to doing virtually whatever they want in western society, and so throw a media “tantrum” to defy Islamic culture, just cuz they’re told they can’t.
Western society does care about freedom of speech, to a ridiculous exteme. in a lot of cases. But is this being used as a wedge issue to divide us further? You bet.
Do the people in power really care about our freedoms? Only what we insist on. Usually by ballot box, sometimes by cartridge box.
