REPORT: US is prepared to launch preemptive strike on North Korea

The U.S. is prepared to launch a preemptive strike with conventional weapons against North Korea should officials become convinced that North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test, multiple senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.

North Korea has warned that a “big event” is near, and U.S. officials say signs point to a nuclear test that could come as early as this weekend.  (SOURCE)

  1. So what if NK pops off a nuke? It’s a big yawn.

NBC? Really? You’re getting your OSINT from MSM?

    1. NK testing a nuke is not huge in and of itself. This administration’s stance on it makes it much more significant. It’s not just NBC, mil channels have been reporting this as well. This was just the first OSINT source I could find that’s reporting it.

“Two things are coming together this weekend,” said retired Adm. James Stavridis, former commander of NATO and an NBC analyst. “One is the distinct possibility of a sixth North Korean nuclear weapons detonation and the other is an American carrier strike group, a great deal of firepower headed right at the Korean Peninsula.”

If Stavridis is saying it, then it’s worth some due diligence.

      1. I follow all the MilFeeds too. They sound like MSM. (Because they are reading from the same script.)

” This administration’s stance on it…” is insane.

Albeit there is a ceasefire, the US an NK are still in a state of war. When the first US cruise missile (they’ll do better where there are no Russians) crosses the NK border it is “weapons free.”

Do you believe that when there are nuke weapons tests they are “one offs?” The NK nuke shots are not about a learning curve, they are about miniaturizing. The last successful test shot was probably sufficient for them to arm whatever missiles could carry them.

And I’m sure there is some cretin in DC who thinks all this will bring China to her knees.
