The North Korean government is conducting mass evacuation drills as the threat of war with the United States and South Korea looms greater.
The evacuation drills are considered very rare for the reclusive regime, and have included blackout drills as well.
Reports said that the drills have taken place mostly in smaller cities and communities along the country’s east coast, but not in the capital city of Pyongyang.
The drills come as tensions with the U.S. and South Korea have been escalating in recent weeks.
