The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted 19 members and associations of the Clarksville, Tennessee chapter of the Mongols Motorcycle Gang with various federal crimes, including racketeering conspiracy, murder in aid of racketeering, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, large-scale drug trafficking, and other crimes.
A federal grand jury returned a 62-count second-superseding indictment last week, which also charged four additional members and associates of the Clarksville Mongols with kidnapping, murder, and additional crimes.
The indictments were announced by Acting Assistant Attorney General John P. Cronan of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and U.S. Attorney Don Cochran of the Middle District of Tennessee.
Fifteen members and associates of the Clarksville Mongols were charged in January 2018. The four additional defendants are: William Nelper, aka Flip, 49, of Trenton, Kentucky; William Boylston, aka JC, 27; Jason Meyerholz, aka Country, 43; and Christopher Wilson, 35, all of Clarksville, Tennessee.
A statement from the Justice Department further notes:
This indictment alleges that, among other crimes, on Nov. 19, 2017, Boylston, Meyerholz, and Wilson kidnapped Stephen Cole, a member of the Clarksville Mongols, at gunpoint, stripped him of his personal property, including his shoes, wallet and cell phones. Boylston and Meyerholz then transported Cole to Nelper’s residence in Trenton, where they murdered him, disposed of his body, and burned evidence of the crimes. All four defendants are charged with the kidnapping of Cole that resulted in his death.
The indictment also charges Nelper, Boylston, and Meyerholz with murdering Stephen Cole in aid of Racketeering, and charges Nelper with large-scale drug trafficking and money laundering. [source]
Analysis: Once thought by many to have largely disappeared, this indictment serves as a reminder that such gangs still exist, are still involved in nefarious activities, and still pose a danger to communities.
This gang, in particular, is especially dangerous. Officially known as the Mongols Motorcycle Club, it is sometimes called the Mongols Nation or Mongol Brotherhood, is a “one-percenter” outlaw motorcycle club and a confirmed organized crime syndicate. The club is headquartered in southern California and was originally formed in Montebello, California, in 1969.
The “one-percenter” designation is said to refer to a comment by the American Motorcyclist Association that ’99 percent’ of cyclists are law-abiding citizens. Members often wear a “1%” patch on their jackets.
The club is believed to have between 1,000 and 1,500 members nationwide, with chapters in 14 states and 10 countries. Current club president David Santillan denies that the organization as a whole is a criminal enterprise. However, the organization does still allow members to engage in criminal activities.
The club’s motto is, “Respect Few, Fear None.”
Meanwhile back at the ranch, hilly and obama are still walking around free. Gangs pale in comparison to the crimes committed by these two.
